For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices, and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, musicians and a different host every week. Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the unexpected, but above all come with an open mind and ear.

ABOUT THE FEATURE:

Rasheed Copeland is a native of Washington, DC. He is the author of Mud Jubilee (Self, 2021) and The Book of Silence: Manhood as a Pseudoscience (Sergeant Press, 2015). He is a multiple recipient of the DC Commission of the Arts and Humanities Fellowship Award. He has performed and facilitated writing workshops across the country and internationally. His work has been featured in online publications such as Poets.org, Split This Rock, and the Crab Orchard Review.
